Building scalable technical content operations
Artificial intelligence is changing how technical knowledge is created and consumed. c8s-labs works with teams to build AI-enabled content supply chains that help organisations adapt to that change with confidence.
Governance doesn't disappear when AI arrives
AI agents introduce risks that can outpace human review. Governance needs to scale with it. Everything we build is designed around transparency, traceability and human accountability.
Why c8s-labs exists
Documentation is changing
Documentation is no longer only something customers read — it is where AI systems go to get answers. That changes the nature of documentation, and accelerates its lifecycle.
Governance has to keep up
Artificial intelligence is accelerating content creation faster than a human-only review can keep up with. Organisations need a new way to govern content creation that provides the audit trails necessary for accountability.
Operations built for the old world
Many tools used today were designed for a world where documentation was created by people and consumed by readers. The next generation of tools must work in systems where people, automation and AI work together.
Production must be transparent
When AI generates content, it can be opaque, making it difficult for organisations to prove where the information came from. Content needs to be traceable to build trust in the system.
About c8s-labs
c8s-labs is a workshop focused on building scalable solutions for technical content operations, working alongside your existing teams to develop the operational approaches, processes, and tools you need to build content supply chains designed for an AI-enabled world.
c8s-labs is run by George Lewis. George has spent more than twenty-five years designing, building and leading technical content operations. He founded doc-department and grew it into Scotland’s leading independent technical-communications outsourcing company, then merged it into 3di Information Solutions. As COO and Service Delivery Director at 3di, he worked hands-on with clients on content strategy and operations for technical products in industrial, robotics, medical devices and software.
